Ontario Remembrance Scholarship

In partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of Colleges and Universities, Western is offering The Ontario Remembrance Scholarship of $10,000 to four international, undergraduate students.

This scholarship honors Ghazal Nourian, Hadis Hayatdavoudi, Milad Nahavandi, and Sajedeh Saraeian, the four Western students lost on Flight 752.

We are inviting applications from international students who are full-time registrants in an undergraduate program on the Main campus or at an Affiliated College.

To be eligible, students must have a cumulative average of at least 75% as a full-time student the prior year, be intending to pursue graduate studies, have financial need, and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Ontario Remembrance Scholarship application must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar’s secure DocDrop found at https://studentservices.uwo.ca/secure/oneexperience/docdrop.

The deadline to apply is December 12, 2023 at 11:59pm.

If an International Bursary application has been submitted to the Main Campus already, only answers to questions A and B are required for consideration for this scholarship.

This scholarship is available for the 2023-22024 academic year only.
