Stay on top of key academic dates and deadlines to ensure a smooth term. This page highlights important timelines for registration, exams, and other critical milestones so you can plan ahead with confidence!

These dates and deadlines are primarily for undergraduate students. Graduate students should refer to the sessional dates outlined in the SGPS Regulation 1.01 Calendar of Events.

2026

October

October 1

  • Last day for students on exchange or a letter of permission to submit transcripts for graduation at Autumn Convocation

 

October 10-18

  • Fall Reading Week

 

October 20

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 6-week first quarter ('Q') course resulting in a grade of 'WDN' (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

 

October 21-22

  • Fall Convocation

 

November

November 2

  • Deadline for official transcripts for courses taken on Letters of Permission during the academic year 2025-26 and the Spring/Summer Terms of 2026

 

November 30

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 12-week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

December

December 1

  • Undergraduate tution deadline: second installment due

 

December 2

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 6-week second quarter ('R') course resulting in a grade of 'WDN' (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

 

December 9

  • Fall/Winter classes end

January

January 4

  • Classes resume

 

January 8

  • Last day to add or drop a Winter 6-week first quarter ('S') course

 

January 12

  • Last day to add or drop a Winter 12-week course. Courses dropped by this date will not appear on a transcript. Courses dropped after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

 

January 15

  • Deadline to declare a Discovery Credit for a Fall 12-week course

 

January 22

  • Deadline for applications for graduation: In Absentia February Convocation

February

February 1

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall/Winter 24-week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

 

February 5

  • Last day to withdraw from a Winter 6-week first quarter ('S') course without academic penalty

 

February 12

  • Winter 6-week first quarter ('S') courses end.

 

February 13 - 21

  • Winter Reading Week

 

February 22

  • First day of Winter 6-week second quarter ('T') courses

 

February 26

  • Last day to add or drop a Winter 6-week second quarter ('T') course
  • In Absentia Convocation

March

March 26

  • Good Friday

 

March 28

  • Easter Sunday

 

March 29

  • Last day to withdraw from a Winter 6-week second quarter ('T') course without academic penalty

 

March 30

  • Last day to withdraw from a Winter 12 -week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

April

April 9

  • Fall/Winter classes end
  • Winter 6-week second quarter ('T') courses end
