Diplomas are retained in the Office of the Registrar for two years after Convocation. If you did not attend Convocation, your diploma can be picked up in person from Student Central for no charge. Diplomas will be available for pickup by the graduate 3 business days subsequent to the ceremony. If you are unable to obtain your diploma in person, then you can request your diploma to be mailed to you.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) Western is responsible for protecting all personal information under its custody or control. By placing an online order you are certifying that you are the student as stated; that the information provided is true and correct in all respects, and that you authorize the University of Western Ontario only as indicated.
Fees & Processing Time
Fees for mailing diplomas are $31.00 for mailing within Canada and $65.00 for mailing outside of Canada.
If you are requesting more than one diploma be mailed at the same time, you will only be charged the mailing fee once and all diplomas will be mailed together.
Diploma mailing may take up to 3 weeks from receipt of request.
Western University utilizes FedEx for diploma mailing.
Important: Online diploma mailing is now available for October 2018 graduating students. At this time students whose degrees are in AWARDED STATUS are invited to go online via Student Center and request a diploma mail out. However, these diplomas WILL NOT be mailed until after the October 2018 Convocation period. Mailing will begin November 1, 2018.
Online Diploma Ordering
Online Diploma Ordering is available via Student Center under the 'Student Services Links' section. Online payment must be made by VISA or MasterCard only through our secure ecommerce system.
If your diploma has been LOST, STOLEN or DAMAGED, you will be required to order a Diploma Replacement.
Note: You will not be able to order a diploma replacement through this online service.

Degrees, Diplomas and certificates normally will not be awarded in advance of convocation ceremonies. However, a degree, diploma or certificate may be released early at the discretion of the Office of the Registrar if the student demonstrates that the document is required by an employer or needed for a work visa.
Students presenting an official offer of employment or the request for visa documentation may seek release of their diploma no sooner than four weeks prior to their scheduled convocation by completing and submitting a Request for Early Release of Diploma form. **Early release is subject to the availability of award information**
The document released will bear the date of the appropriate scheduled convocation ceremony.
Early release of Diploma requests may take up to 2 weeks to process.
All other students who require notice of confirmation that their program has been completed (in addition to an official transcript) may apply to the Office of the Registrar with a request for a letter attesting to the fact that they have completed the requirements of their program see the Official Western Letter page.
If a student's degree, diploma or certificate has been lost, damaged or destroyed OR the student requires a duplicate or duplicates, subsequent diplomas can be reproduced. In order to obtain a replacement diploma:

The cost of a duplicate / replacement Diploma is $58.50 (There is an additional fee of $31.00 for mailing within Canada and $65.00 for mailing outside of Canada ), which may be paid by cheque or money order payable to The University of Western Ontario, or by Visa or MasterCard.
Printing may take up to 6 weeks from receipt of request.
Student Central which is located in Room 1120 of the Western Student Services Building provides a service in which a student can bring in either their original diploma or a copy of their original diploma for authentication.
If you require a copy of your diploma to be authenticated for a third party, the cost is $7.00.

Confidentiality is a primary concern of The University of Western Ontario and AuraData. A signed authorization from the graduate is required by AuraData before any information is released.
