Methods from within Canada

You can pay your fees via the following methods. Payment deadlines are available on the statement of account. Payments must be received in our office by the due date on your online statement of account or a late payment penalty will be assessed.

The University of Western Ontario does not accept cash, Internet e-mail money transfers or credit cards for fee payments. Credit card payments are only accepted through CIBC Student Pay, which offers a credit card payment option.

CIBC Student Pay is the only credit card third-party payment method associated with Western. Any company or organization that offers the opportunity to pay fees by credit card that is not CIBC Student Pay, is not associated with Western. If you choose to use such a service, you should be aware that:

You will remain responsible for all fees should, for any reason, the fees payment not be processed;
You will be paying a fee to the company over and above Western’s fees;
You will be required to provide personal information, including your student number, to the company.

Western does not encourage the use of third-party payment services.

Internet Banking

Internet banking is available through all major Canadian banks.

Payments must be received in our office by the fee due date. Allow 2-3 business days for payment to be processed to your account.

Important: Your account number for web payments is your Student number.

Cheque or Money Order

Fees can be paid by cheque or money order payable to the University of Western Ontario. Payment can be mailed to:

Please ensure you include your name and student number on all cheques or money orders. Receipts are not issued for payments received by mail. Cheques must be received in our office by the due date.

CIBC Student Pay

Western University has partnered with CIBC International Student Pay for students making payment from within Canada.

The CIBC International Student Pay platform is not limited to international students. Domestic students can also use this platform to make payment from a Canadian bank, international source or credit card.

Please note: All CIBC Student Pay methods are subject to a convenience fee. These charges may not apply if you choose to pay directly at your financial institution in Canada (in-person or online). You may wish to review any applicable fees before proceeding with your payment.
