Need Based Awards Renewal
Continuing need based awards are based on academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. These awards are renewable provided the recipients progress satisfactorily and continue to demonstrate financial need each year. In order to be considered for renewal of your award for the 2024-2025 academic year, you MUST reapply by completing and submitting the appropriate renewal application from the list below. Aside from continuing to meet the financial need component there may be an academic average requirement and other criteria to retain your award. All the criteria will be checked once your application is reviewed.
Note 1: If you are submitting an application for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) do not report any scholarship, award or bursary funding from Western University on your OSAP application as we will report it on your behalf. Students are still responsible for reporting any external funding received (i.e. not awarded by Western) on their OSAP application.
Note 2: You only need to submit ONE renewal application regardless of the number of awards you are in receipt of.

All applications must be submitted by July 19, 2024.
Completed applications MUST be submitted online through the secure DocDrop - please select the Need Based Award Renewal Application document type when uploading your application. You must use a pdf file format for submission through the DocDrop. If you encounter any issues uploading your application, please email the contact given on the renewal application.
