Holiday Closure Details

The Office of the Registrar at Western University is closed for the holidays beginning December 22 at 4PM. We will resume regular business hours on January 5 at 10AM.
Western Chat, Virtual Helpline, phones, email, and in-person services will not operate during the holiday break. Student Loans, Transcripts, Official Western Letters, Third Party Forms, and Western ONECards will also not be processed.
If you need documents, such as transcripts or letters before the break, submit your order by the morning of December 17.

Password Reset, Access Code Retrieval & DUO Changes

- To retrieve a forgotten access code visit this website and choose the link for your situation.

Travelling this holiday season? Be sure you’ve added your SIN number in Student Center so you can retrieve your Access Code or change your DUO while you’re away from campus.

Winter Term Course Registration
To add/drop or swap 2nd term half courses online visit student.uwo.ca from now until January 13, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST. If you have a special permission on your file and require assistance visit us on Western Chat when we reopen January 5.
Is your Account on Hold?
If you have a hold on your file and are inquiring about the nature of your hold, log into student.uwo.ca and click on the Holds tile.
Update/Add your Study Permit
If you are not a Master's or PhD student, you can upload your Study Permit online here.
Please fill in your information* and upload a clear scan or photo of your official study permit document.
You will be issued your official study permit document upon arrival to Canada, this is the document we require. Note: You can upload your documents to this page when you arrive on campus at the start of your studies. Students attending for 6 months or less do not need a study permit.
*Your Study Permit Number begins with ‘F’.
