Get Ready for the Holidays with the Office of the Registrar!

The Office of the Registrar at Western University is closed for the holidays beginning December 23, 2024. We will resume regular business hours on Thursday, January 3, 2025 at 10:00am.

Student Central will also have different hours of operation this December:

  • Every Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Student Central will be closed over lunch hour for in-person visits and tickets. Western Chat and the Virtual Helpline will remain open)
  • December 9: Student Central, including Western Chat, will be closing at 1:30pm
  • December 18: Student Central will be opening at 1:00pm

 

Western Chat, Virtual Helpline, phones, email, and in-person services will not operate during the holiday break. Student Loans, Transcripts, Official Western Letters, Third Party Forms, and Western ONECards will also not be processed.

Note: There will be no update to grades on Student Center until January 6, 2025.

Password Reset, Access Code Retrieval & DUO Changes

Travelling this holiday season? Be sure you’ve added your SIN number in Student Center so you can retrieve your Access Code or change your DUO while you’re away from campus.

Winter Term Course Registration

To add/drop or swap 2nd term half courses online visit student.uwo.ca from now until Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST. If you have a special permission on your file and require assistance visit us on Western Chat when we reopen January 4th.

If you have a hold on your file and are inquiring about the nature of your hold, log into student.uwo.ca and click on the Holds tile.

Update/Add your Study Permit

If you are not a Master's or PhD student, you can upload your Study Permit online here.

Please fill in your information* and upload a clear scan or photo of your official study permit document.

You will be issued your official study permit document upon arrival to Canada, this is the document we require. Note: You can upload your documents to this page when you arrive on campus at the start of your studies. Students attending for 6 months or less do not need a study permit.

*Your Study Permit Number begins with ‘F’.

Residence Reminders

Students in residence are to depart for winter break within 24 hours of their last exam unless an exception has been requested and approved on the myHousing Portal for an extended stay or winter break stay. Residences will be closed for the break starting Monday, December 23, at 12:00 p.m. noon. Residences and dining halls will re-open on Sunday, January 5. Students are reminded to lock doors and close windows before their departure. For students approved for a winter break stay, the Ontario Hall front desk will be open 24/7 and students are reminded there is a no-guest policy in place.
